Abstract: The degree of neurological damage and prognosis in critically ill children couple with social, family, ethical and other concerns. Continuous electroencephalogram monitoring (cEEG) as the most commonly used cerebral function monitoring helps early diagnosis and prevents the secondary brain injury, offers dynamic assessment of efficacy and prognosis. This article reviews the recent progress of application of cEEG monitoring in critically ill children.
